First harvest Lughnasadh post #8 #musings #blogging #holiday #writing

It’s the first Sunday of August. Happy Lamas (Lughnasadh) yesterday on the Celtic calendar of holidays. First harvest is among us and it’s been a nice summer into fall so far. School starts tomorrow and all that entails. It’s nice to rest from work but I need a three-day weekend or longer soon.

Beginning of next month will be the annual Dragon Con event here in Atlanta, and I’ve taken off two weeks. I will need it by then probably if works goes the way it has been for the last two months.

Still haven’t worked much on writings, mostly reading to relax from work. Eventually, I’ll get there. One day at a time.

I have been doing some gaming with the family. Sometimes, it’s table top card games, and other times is computer gaming on Steam and Discord. I’ve set up my gaming laptop downstairs next to my work computer setup since I had to dismantle my KVM switch. Truthfully, it’s probably better this way. I can mentally switch between work and home that way.

This will be a short one too. Not much else to talk about this month. Fall equinox is around the corner and with it all of the school things to do. Pretty soon it will be Fall break, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the New Year. Time keeps marching on.
